It is now time to bid farewell to our traveling friends and return home to share our memories with family and friends, ending our delightful visit to San Antonio during this special Thanksgiving Holiday Season with Knoxville Tours.

For over 30 years, this spectacular one-hour parade along San Antonio's River Walk has featured illuminated foats with celebrities, bands and lavishly-costumed participants. 

After breakfast (included), a local guide will take us on a tour of this historic city including the famous French Quarter and Bourbon Street, old Market Places, Wharves, Squares, Duelling Places, Patios, French and Spanish Homes, Jackson Square, City Park with dueling oaks, St. Charles Avenue with its famous streetcars, the Superdome and St. Louis Cemetery # 3 on historic Esplanade Avenue, one of New Orleans' oldest and most intriguing cemeteries. We will enjoy lunch (included) at the Court of Two Sisters Restaurant. In the afternoon, discover New Orleans your way. Explore the beautiful antique shops and boutiques in the French Quarter, take a ride on the streetcar down St. Charles, take a cruise on the mighty Mississippi River—the choice is yours. 

We depart Greenville this morning traveling to Scott, Arkansas for a delicious luncheon at the 19th century Marlsgate Plantation. We will enjoy the many treasures of this stately columned Greek Revival Mansion overlooking the waters of Bearskin Lake. We continue to Memphis, TN for our last night.

This morning we leave San Antonio and continue north through Austin, stopping for lunch in Waco and a visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos. After lunch we continue to Dallas, the ninth largest city in the US and the third largest in Texas. We will visit the new George W. Bush Presidential Center which tells the story of the United States in an extraordinary time. The Bush Center's 226,000-square-foot building and 15-acre urban park reside on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The museum features a piece of steel from the world Trade Center, a full-sized Oval Offce, and a Texas Rose Garden. We spend the night in Greenville, Texas just northeast of Dallas.

We depart New Orleans and continue to Breaux Bridge for lunch (included) at a legendary restaurant recognized throughout the world as the King of Cajun cuisine. Our destination for tonight is the Houston, Texas area.

SIGHTSEEING NEW ORLEANS

We board our deluxe motorcoach to begin our tour to San Antonio and travel through Alabama and Mississippi before entering Louisiana. We arrive in New Orleans, "Jazz Capital of the World", for a two night stay in the heart of the city and just a short walk from the French Quarter.  

This morning we have a short drive to San Antonio for a guided tour of this historic city. We will learn about its history as we visit the Alamo and Hemisfair Plaza. The San Antonio River fows through the heart of the city where you'll see the beautiful fower gardens, sidewalk cafes and much more. We will have free time in the afternoon for shopping in the many speciality shops and the fabulous new Rivercenter. Accommodations await us for the next two nights in San Antonio. A delightful Thanksgiving Day BRUNCH is included at the Hilton Palacio Del Rio located on the banks of the San Antonio River. The Ford Holiday Parade takes place at the Riverwalk on Friday following Thanksgiving Day.
